Today we're talking about shininess and happiness. I want to talk about this subject of happiness, which is sought after for centuries and centuries and centuries for humanity. It is one of the hottest topics and still yet, what do we know about happiness? Right? Today, I would love to go to the science of happiness and I would love to talk to you about positive psychology's understanding of happiness. And I am going to bring a model that is called PERMA model by Dr. Martin Seligman, who is the co founder of positive psychology. And we're going to talk about [00:01:00] five components that make you happy. Ready? Let's go.
First component is the P of the PERMA, right? This represents your positive emotions. It all begins with the amount of positive emotions that you feel. How many positive emotions do you experience a day? And how happy do you feel from 1 to 10? It all starts in the mind. And then, as I always say, it lives in the heart. So happiness is a matter of energy, this vibration. When we're in the quantum field, if I bring a specific mechanism, I can actually measure the vibration around you. And then I can tell you where you are in terms of your vibration. And that is where we begin. We begin by measuring the vibration of your energy. And we look at your positive emotions that you [00:02:00] experience throughout the day.
E represents. Engagement. Well, you know, positive emotions, they come out when you experience engagement, when you are involved in your activities, when you are in a deep and fun, exciting conversation with someone, right? So this E, engagement, represents engagement. How engaged you are, how involved you are in everything that you do, when you are studying, when you're taking notes, do you enjoy that activity? Are you engaged completely? Are you present? Is your mind thinking about the past or the future? Or are you here in the now, engaged in whatever you're doing?
R represents relationships, and this is the third component of what makes you happy. When you look at your relationships, including the one that you have with yourself, right? It's all about creating positive emotions and engagement. [00:03:00] Correct? You do activities together, you share moments together, you create a conversation, you brainstorm ideas, you experience laughter and joy, you cry together, you get the idea. The quality of your relationships is going to determine the quality of your life and your level of happiness.
M represents meaning and this is the fourth component of your happiness. Meaning means what kind of meaning you get out of everything that you do. What is the meaning of your life? What is your life purpose? Why you do what you do and what kind of even more positive meanings you can create out of life's happenings. How trained your brain is when it comes to converting problems into opportunities. How amazingly in love you are with the life that you have, those are all under the concept [00:04:00] of meaning.
A is about your achievements and this is the last and fifth component of your happiness. According to positive psychology, this is the last piece of what makes you happy, achievements and accomplishments. This is where you get the self confidence, self esteem, the boost, the belief in your abilities. to figure things out. That is so unshakable. If you have that, and then you have the level of achievements and accomplishments and the success that you created in your life, it is going to give you another level of happiness, that satisfaction, that feeling. It's going to be deeper. So that's why when you have a goal, when you have a dream, don't let it go. Accomplish your goals. Accomplish your dreams. No matter what, do not give up because it is going to build up your confidence, your level of happiness. Annual fulfillment [00:05:00] in life.
