Let's talk about video games today. People are like, what? I thought this channel is for personal and professional development. Yes, it is. And we are going to look at your life as a video game, and I am going to share some ideas why it is a brilliant idea to look at your own life as a video game. Are you ready? Let's go.
Number one. It's fun. Hello. We're talking about video games. Don't you love playing a game? Having that fun, that enthusiasm, that [00:01:00] passion, that joy. It's all about going for it, it's all about, not winning definitely, but definitely enjoying that journey and challenging yourself so that there is something for you to go after. And it is a lot of fun. When you look at your life as a video game, it'll be much more fun. Listen, I know people who take life very seriously, and they're not having as much fun. And I also know some other people, they are enjoying their life because life is limited. You know, you have one life and you got to live it. You got to enjoy it. And the way you look at life, the way your mind is wrapped around what life means to you, is going to shape the emotions you're going to feel about your life. And that's [00:02:00] why. Number one reason is to make it more fun.
Number two. Hey, it's structured. You know what I mean? You know, when you play a game, you know that that's level one. There, there is a character, it's you, and maybe some other people, and there's a challenge. Usually, level one challenges are easier, so that you can pass to the next level. And then, as you move on to the next level, you know that there will be a bigger challenge. So So, you know that there are levels, you know that there is a structure when you play a video game, you know that you have weapons and you can equip yourself with a lot of weapons and you can actually get rid of the problems, right? You have a target to go after and all the obstacles on your way, they're going to be eliminated, right? There is a structure. So, exactly the same way, when you look at your life as a video game, when you understand there is a structure in your life, when you understand [00:03:00] that there are levels. In your life that you need to go one level after the other one level after the other you also need to understand that every level is going to require Different equipment, different weapons. Those are your skills. That's why you need to grow. That's why you need to learn. That's why you need to have the growth mindset and ask yourself, Okay, what did I learn from this level that can help me in my next level? Right? So it's structured.
Number three, You can write your own. And you can write your own story, or your own beginning, your own challenges, your own ending, your own story. Meaning that when you are the director, the writer, the actor, or the actress, and the audience of your own video game, guess what? You're in charge. You [00:04:00] get to choose your levels. You get to choose the challenges. You get to choose the targets, the goals, and the dreams. And you get to choose how you are going to handle them. And you get to become the person that you want to become. That is the joy of looking at your life as a video game.
