Hello everyone my name is Shiny Burcu Unsal, I am the Proud creator of Neuro-Shine Technology, ICF master certified coach, ICF accredited coach trainer, and a licensed trainer of neuro linguistic programming - NLP.
So today I want to answer the question that I get asked a lot SHINY Why do I need to learn NLP, I have five ideas and five answers to share with you.
One you will master your mind and your coaching mindset. If you are an ICF-certified coach, you already know the importance of having a coaching mindset. And for those of you who don't understand what I'm talking about, first of all, I C F stands for international coaching Federation.
So ICF has the ethical standards, regulations, and core competencies for every professional coach out there in the world for more than 200 countries in the world. So that we all have a common understanding of what coaching is and how coaching is done.
Now that we have covered this, let's also talk about the difference between being a certified coach and being an ICF-accredited coach. So when you go through coach-specific training, you are going to receive a certification that says certified coach, right? That's perfect. But that is not enough for you to receive your ICF accreditation.
International Coaching Federation also gives professional coaches the levels actually there are three levels of accreditation. Once you go through that training, you also do some other steps like mentor coaching hours and 100 hours of coaching experience and passing the test, and applying and having the recording and that recording is going to be evaluated according to your skill set.
There are so many other steps that you need to do so that ICF can award you with the equitation to you master your listening skills. As you know, listening is an underrated part of our communication skills. Okay, so we talk a lot about communication and language patterns and how to deliver a message but we don't really talk a lot about how to listen and how to consume the information received from others.
When you understand these patterns that I'm talking about. When you apply these principles that I'm talking about specifically the meaning principle, for example, you are listening to a client we didn't understand it.
Three, you will master your powerful questions. As a coach, you already know how important for you to be able to ask powerful questions with the power of neurolinguistic programming, you will understand questioning at a deeper level, and you will understand why it is so important for you to be able to ask open-ended powerful questions, and you will understand the effect of it and you will also master it number four, you will master your coaching presence.
You don't need to be a coach to master your presence just as human beings we all owe this to each other to have a great presence of presence where people feel safe around you seen heard and appreciated by you.
And last but not least, you will become an even more intelligent version of yourself. Not only I'm talking about IQ, but I'm also talking about EQ and social intelligence. Okay, we're talking about being cognitively intelligent, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, and also, in my language contextually intelligent when you study NLP, of course, I am specifically talking about my version of NLP neuro shine technology, you understand that there is actually some sort of the mechanics like behind everything, there's sort of, there's sort of a structure behind everything and that makes you smarter.
Like when you see something you can actually see in a way that nobody else is able to see. That's intelligence, isn't it?
