1. Listen As You Want To Be Heard
Why is it important? Because we all want to be safe, seen, heard, and appreciated as human beings. We want to feel this comfort. The security and safety when we are around people. When somebody attacks you and makes you feel that what you are doing is wrong, what you say is incorrect, and when somebody interrupts you when you speak. Don't you get a little bit weird? Don't you get annoyed?
It is a biological reaction from your nervous system because you have this beautiful part of your brain called the Amygdala. It is responsible for the survival of your ideas, opinions, values, and beliefs. And so, guess what happens?
When you don't listen to someone, interrupt or invalidate them, their Amygdala is triggered because they feel insecure and unsafe around you.
Therefore, this might be a reason why you are having relationship problems. So, what are you going to do? It would help if you listened to them as you wanted to be heard. You're going to hear them as you want to be heard. That is the only way we are wired biologically to do this, to be heard and safe.
2. Appreciate People Around You As You Need To Be Appreciated
Biologically, your neurons fire and wire for a reason most of the time because you have needs. You have to fulfill, and if those needs are not met, you go bananas. 🤯
You lose yourself, and you take it on others around you. You make them feel uncomfortable and unsafe around you.
So you want to be aware. What am I doing? What am I saying? What kind of reaction is making this person create distance from me? Why are they avoiding what I'm saying? Why do I feel neglected?
When you ask these questions yourself, you will realize that there are solutions, and appreciation is one of them. And if you want to deepen your relationships and solve the relationship problems, you want to appreciate people and tell them "I appreciate you. What you did a minute ago was so kind and thoughtful. I appreciate that behavior". You want to say it verbally and show in your energy that you truly appreciate that person. Why? Because that's exactly how you want to feel.
3. Love As You Wish To Be Loved
We all want to be loved, appreciated, validated and acknowledged. We want to be precious. We want to matter, and that's why we want to give what we want from others.
We need to take the lead when you love others as you wish to be loved. It becomes this invisible agreement between you and other people around you. Like, I love you and expect you to love me. It is an invisible agreement. It's in the mutuality.
In the world of cosmology, there is this energy of duality. What you give is what you get, and what you get depends on what you give, and that's why you want to love them as you wish to be loved.
