Respect is about credibility and authority. It's a fundamental human right, it is about boundaries, how you show up in your life, how you demand it, and how you give it. I mean, there are so many ways to look at respect.Today, I will look at respect from the perspective that you're going to do new things so that other people can respect you.
Before I begin, I want you to think about what respect means to you? How exactly do you feel respected? And another way is what a person needs to do specifically to feel so respected. How can you break it down? How can you receive respect in terms of measurable behaviors, words, and maybe some energy that you get from others?
Just start thinking about this because in a moment, I will break down respect into 2 components, and I am going to show you how you can make everyone respect you. If you're ready, let's begin!
When you have both warmed like sincerity, you're like friends. It is easy to approach you, and then you have your competence, authority, credibility, and little sophistication over here. When you combine both of them somewhere in the middle, you show up charismatic, and that's how you can get respect from others easier. Let's break down both of them and start with warmth here. What does it mean to be warm for other people? Well, that's why I will analyze it from the perspective of communication.
Communication has 3 components: your words, tonality, and body language. The way you bring warmth, sincerity, and friendliness to your communication will depend upon the selection of words and your tonality because that is a show of friendliness and warmth.
You can also look at your body language to express your emotions and energy. If my hands are open, and if I make a lot of hand gestures, if my face, eyes, and mimics are moving, those are all unconscious messages that give you a sense of safety and security.
According to a study, showing your hands make the other person feel safe around you, and that way, it is your receiver's respect. How does it feel if I hide my hands? It feels weird, right? You'll be like, "where are her hands? What is going on"? What is she hiding? So, this creates an unconscious trigger.
I'm going to go back to my Amygdala again. So, Amygdala is ah like, okay, is there any danger here? Since I do not see hands around because hands are your body extension, they can also be dangerous. And so, it creates immediate insecurity and feeling of unsafe for the other person, and therefore, they are not going to respect you.
That's the tip, make sure to show your hands when you communicate with others. You make sure to have a warm tonality that shouldn't be cold, distancing, heartless and emotionless; you should be friendly.
As you hear your tonality, feel like you want to hug yourself. So, I guess that's a good thing. So, that's about warmth and now let's talk about competence.
I have this science in my hand, and I am talking about Neuro-science and showing you a cue that's actually a science. And these kinds of props make the other person who is watching feel like I know what I'm talking about.
When I go to Neuro-science and refer to the Princeton University study, those are signs that you subconsciously, unconsciously get with competence. And it's the level of intellect, logic, and reasoning you put together, and when you go search for somebody, you look for their evidence to believe them.
If you look at the about page and read my bio, you'll see all the reasons to believe in me. All my accreditations, my education, achievements, all the lives that I have changed and transformed, all the certifications that I created, so that part is the competency part.
And the other part is the warmth part, obviously when you can put them in the middle and create this beautiful balance; you know what happens? Like in my Neuro-shine Technology, imagine your heart's warmth and your competence is about your mind. When you combine the power of your mind with the wisdom of your heart, what do you do? You maximize your potential, and you create your Shiny Mind. You actually can make anyone respect you my dear Shiny mind.
