4 Creative Ways To Deal With Fear

 

How do you deal with your fears?

To begin with, we need to accept the fact that fear is a part of our lives, a part of human psychology. And it's not that scary all the times. It might mean very different things for us.

Let's talk about it:

When we ask ourselves what do we truly want, first we want to be safe and trust others. Then we want to be seen. We want to be heard. And we want to be appreciated. 

But, because the number one is safety and trust, and because FEAR is what's causing us to feel unsafe, fear becomes an even more important topic to be really educated and trained about.

Pain and Pleasure and Fear and Faith, they are all the colors of the human rainbow, hand in hand. So fear is not going anywhere, anytime soon. And it's not something to be fearful of, either. We just need to learn how to deal with it and how to transform it.

As always, I have some ideas to share with you:

1) Make it a game!

Be intentional and tell yourself "Each time I doubt myself I'll bring my faith to my heart" and give yourself a score to see how well you do this. You'll have so much fun playing this fear versus faith game :)

2) Become friends with it.

You need to keep your friends close, enemies closer. If you become friends with your fears, you'll get to know the reason behind their existence. You know they too have a purpose to exist, right? So personify your fear, see it as a person and see how fast it'll change its' meaning for you.

Whatever you accept fully, has no power over you.

3) Perceive it as a mental training.

If you look at your fears as your custom-made internal messages, you'll be able to prepare for what's coming. And this way you can even see how useful they are for you.

4) Give it a shape, color and a location in your body.

It'll give you a something tangible context, out of this intangible emotion. And as you see the context behind it, you don't need to own it anymore. You just need to understand when and how and why it happens, then you can let it go.
